HarbourVest opens Frankfurt office
HarbourVest has announced the opening of an office in Frankfurt with the aim of addressing increased demand from institutional and private wealth clients for its services.
Although the GP has been active in the German market for the past 30 years, the establishment of its Frankfurt office will be the first time the GP has had a presence on the ground in Germany.
The firm also announced the appointment of principal Martina Schliemann, who joins the firm from Hamilton Lane. Schliemann will lead the Frankfurt office alongside HarbourVest managing director Olav König.
HarbourVest announced the opening of its Singapore office in June 2021 and now has a presence in 12 countries. The firm manages a range of strategies focused on Europe and the US, including primary deals, direct co-investments and fund investments, as well as secondary deals.
