
Triton appoints Paun as head of sustainable investing
Triton has announced the appointment of Ashim Paun to the position of head of sustainable investing within its ESG team.
In his new role, Paun will support Triton's acquisition of companies supported by sustainability themes, as well as capital raising for future funds, according to a statement.
Paun joins from HSBC Global Research, where he worked from 2014 until 2021. Prior to joining Triton, Paun's role at HSBC was as a managing director focusing on climate change and energy transition research. In addition, he has previous experience with Newton Investment Management and Magnetar Capital.
Triton manages mid-market buyout and smaller mid-cap funds, as well as a debt strategy. The GP has published yearly responsible investment transparency reports since 2015 and has been a signatory of the UN's Principles for Responsible Investment since 2012.
