Gimv's Oleownik moves to Emeram
Emeram Capital Partners has appointed Sven Oleownik as partner, effective as of January 2022; he joins from his role as partner and head of Germany at listed Belgium-headquartered investor Gimv.
Spokespeople for both Gimv and Emeram confirmed the news.
Oleownik joined Gimv in 2015 and headed the build-up of the firm's activities in Germany. Prior to this, he spent 12 years with Deloitte Corporate Finance.
Founded in 2012, Emeram currently has six companies in its portfolio and focuses on mid-market companies in the DACH region, focusing on the consumer, technology, software, and services sectors. The firm is headed by managing partners Kai Köppen, Kai Obring and Christian Näther.
The GP held a final close for its debut fund, Emeram Fund I, in January 2015 on EUR 400m.
Emeram announced the formation of a EUR 100m continuation vehicle for sporting goods distributor Boards & More in December 2021, as reported. The company was the first investment from Emeram I.
