Cipio promotes Kirchheim to partner

Munich-headquartered growth capital investor Cipio Partners has announced the promotion of Ansgar Kirchheim to partner.
The promotion comes around 18 months after Kirchheim joined Cipio’s investment team as venture partner from his role as partner at Germany-based early-stage and seed investor High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF).
During his time at HTGF, Kirchheim was responsible for investments including cloud security platform Hornetsecurity, according to a statement. The VC sold its stake in the business July 2020 in a deal that saw Verdane and Providence Strategic Growth (PSG) invest in the company. According to LinkedIn, Kirchheim holds a board seat on Cipio portfolio company NavVis, a developer of 3D mapping and indoor navigation software for commercial buildings.
Earlier in May 2022, Cipio held a EUR 202m final close for Cipio Partners Fund VIII, as reported. The GP invests in growth capital and minority buyout deals, targeting companies with revenues of EUR 10m-50m. The firm targets technology companies in areas including B2B software, deeptech and consumer marketplaces.
