Castik Capital gears up for third fund
Munich-headquartered GP Castik Capital Partners has made a regulatory filing for EPIC III, its latest flagship fund.
The filing for the Luxembourg-domiciled vehicle was made in July 2022.
Castik declined to comment.
The GP held a final close for EPIC II in October 2020 on its EUR 1.25bn hard-cap. Monument Group acted as placement agent on the fundraise, while Poellath and Arendt & Medernach acted as legal advisors.
Castik Capital typically deploys equity tickets of EUR 100m-300m, acquiring companies with enterprise values of EUR 100m-300m, according to Unquote Data. The GP focuses on growing European businesses and aims to take a long-term approach. Its recent deals include the acquisition of B2B auction platform TBAuctions from Bencis Capital Partners.
In 2021, the GP raised a EUR 700m single-asset fund to house UK-headquartered Waterlogic, a point-of-use drinking water purification systems designer and distributor. The GP acquired the company in a GBP 122.6m take-private in 2014 at an entry multiple of 9.9x.
Castik Capital was formed in 2014 and has offices in Munich and Luxembourg.
