Bellevue hires ex-Partners Group trio for new secondaries strategy
Swiss asset manager Bellevue Group has hired Steven Kroese, Lars Honegger and Chris Davies from Partners Group with the aim of launching a secondaries strategy at the start of 2023.
The new group is part of Bellevue’s private markets investment team and has been operational as of 1 December 2022, according to a press release. The secondaries strategy launch is part of the ongoing development of its private markets strategy, which includes its direct investment operations, it said in a statement.
All three new team members have joined the firm as managing partners. Kroese and Honegger will be based in Zug, while Davies will be in London.
Kroese spent more than 16 years at Partners Group, where he was a senior vice president and a member of management within the GP’s private equity integrated unit. He was also a member of the private equity secondaries investment committee. He has prior experience with Société Générale and Invision.
Honegger previously spent 10 years with Partners Group, where he was also a senior vice president and a member of management within the GP’s private equity integrated unit. Prior to joining Partners Group, he worked for KPMG.
Davies was structuring team head, legal counsel and a member of management within Partners Group’s private equity integrated unit, spending 10 years with the firm in total. He previously worked as a solicitor at Darwin Gray and Barnes & Partners.
In addition to the new hires, the secondaries team will include Jan Kollros, head of private markets at Bellevue and CEO of Bellevue's subsidiary Adbodmer.
Formed in 1993, Bellevue has 100 team members and is listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange.
