Frog Capital sells agri.capital
Frog Capital has sold its stake in German biogas energy producer agri.capital to Alinda Capital Partners.
Alinda has agreed to invest €300m in the company over the next three years, in addition to acquiring Frog's stake for an undisclosed sum. This transaction marks the third exit in less than a year for the investor, following the sale of SiC Processing to Nordic Capital and Amazon's acquisition of BuyVIP.
Frog Capital made a €3m investment in agri.capital in February 2010. The stake was acquired from an existing investor, which had participated in a €60m series-F funding round that was completed in May 2009.
agri.capital was established in 2004 and produces biogas from natural biological decomposition of organic matter. The company operates more than 60 production facilities, with each plant generating average revenues of €1-2m.
