Target Partners appoints new partner
Venture capital firm Target Partners has announced the appointment of entrepreneur and business angel Tim Stracke as partner.
In his new position at Target Partners, he will focus on start-ups and business models in the fields of ecommerce and software.
Stracke started his career as a consultant for the Boston Consulting Group in Buenos Aires and launched his first VC-funded company in 1999. In 2001, he founded mentasys GmbH, an online price comparison service provider, which was sold to a subsidiary of Bertelsmann five years later.
Since then, he has taken interests in nine Internet businesses based in Europe and China, where he acts as either founding partner or active investor. Recently Stracke acquired a stake in Chrono24, a marketplace for luxury watches.
