DLA Piper strengthens German team
Law firm DLA Piper has hired Jan Schinköth and Dominik Stühler (pictured) as partners in its Munich office.
Corporate lawyers Schinköth and Stühler will both move from advisory firm Kirkland & Ellis to DLA Piper on 1 December.
Schinköth, who focuses on private equity advisory, worked on a number of international M&A, private equity, corporate and leveraged acquisition deals at Kirkland. Noteworthy transactions include HIG Capital's buyout of German recycling company Der Grüne Punkt, 3i Group's buyout of Mold-Masters Group and Sun Capital Partners' buyout of private label retail chain Strauss Innovation Group.
Prior to joining Kirkland, Schinköth worked as an associate for Clifford Chance in Munich from 2004 to 2005.
Stühler focuses on national and cross-border M&A, private equity deals and corporate restructuring. Some of his past deals include Bain Capital's acquisition of FTE automotive Group from PAI partners, HIG's buyout of Austrian boarding school St Gilgen International School and Gilde Buy Out Partners' acquisition of frozen food delivery company Eismann.
He worked at Clifford Chance's Munich office as a corporate associate from 2004 to 2005 after joining from Baker & McKenzie's Buenos Aires office. Prior to this, he worked for Norton Rose at the firm's Munich and London offices in 2002.
