
Ventizz becomes Vorndran Mannheims Capital
German GP Ventizz has changed its name to Vorndran Mannheims Capital, reflecting its step towards a more buyout-oriented strategy.
Ventizz was formed in 2000 by partners Dr Helmut Vorndran and Reinhard Löchner. Its name was a construct of the terms venture and business, signalling the firm's leaning towards growth capital provision for small businesses.
Following its first €30m vehicle, raised in 2000, the GP's funds grew consistently leading to a €455m vehicle in 2008 and a heavier focus on buyouts. Willi Mannheims joined the firm in 2003, followed by Dr Björn Söndgerath, who became a partner in 2010.
Vorndran Mannheims said it would continue to invest in Europe's German-speaking region, Benelux and the Nordics, targeting mid-cap companies with revenues of €20-400m.
The GP plans to invest in companies in the high value-added manufacturing, renewable energy and IT & communications sectors.
