Goodwin Procter poaches four Ashurst partners for new Frankfurt office
Four partners have left Ashurst to join Goodwin Procter’s second European office in Frankfurt.
Goodwin Procter stated it chose to open an office in Germany due to the country being a key market and given their clients' activity in the region. The first European branch was launched in London in 2011.
The four partners at the Frankfurt office will be Stephan Kock, Peter Junghänel, Marc Bohne and Lars Jessen, all of whom are joining from Ashurst. The Frankfurt office will be established as soon as the partners have finished their notice periods.
Kock had worked for Ashurst since 2000 and was appointed partner in 2003. He became head of finance for Germany in 2007. Junghänel joined Ashurst as an associate in 2000 and became a partner in 2006.
Marc Bohne had been a partner in the real estate department in the Frankfurt office since 2011. He focused on acquisitions and sales of property, sale and lease-back transactions and commercial leases.
Jessen started his career at Norton Rose, where he became partner in 2009. He joined Ashurst in 2011.
