
Iris Capital invests in Searchmetrics
Iris Capital has led an €5m investment round in German SEO and search analytics software solution company Searchmetrics.
Other investors include Holtzbrinck Digital, the investment arm of publishing group Georg von Holtzbrinck, and venture firm Neuhaus Partners. The latest round brings the total invested in the company up to approximately €8.5m. The raised capital will be used to continue the firm's international expansion.
Iris Capital was attracted to Searchmetrics because of its success on the SEO and SEM market and ability to help identify the company's untapped search marketing potential. The investor also believes in the company's ability to achieve a leading market position.
Berlin-based Searchmetrics employs 70 people and is a developer of search analytics software for businesses. its Searchmetrics Suite product provides a large keyword database which constantly updates keyword data through a globally distributed, cloud-based infrastructure. The company has subsidiary offices in New York and London.
