BPE acquires Domilens
BPE Unternehmensbeteiligungen GmbH has, together with the management team, wholly acquired medical supplies company Domilens GmbH from STAAR Surgical AG, Switzerland.
Domilens GmbH, based in Hamburg, is a distributor of intraocular and implantable collamer lenses and surgical eye correction devices, used primarily in cataract and refractive surgery. Main target group is the public healthcare sector as well as private hospitals and ophthalmologists. Domilens generated revenues of approximately EUR 20m in 2009, was founded in 1987 and employs 50 people.
