Siemens subsidiary to be bought for $800m
Siemens has entered talks to sell off its water technology subsidiary Siemens Wassertechnik to AEA Investors for $800m, according to Reuters.
AEA is reported to have beaten American Industrial Partners with its offer of $800m in the final bidding rounds.
Siemens Wassertechnik was officially put up for sale at the end of 2012. The subsidiary is said to have reported revenues of $1.3bn with EBITDA of $70-80m.
In a seperate deal, Siemens is thought to be in talks with private equity house Triton Capital Partners regarding the sale of its postal automation and baggage-handling division.
AEA, Siemens and Triton declined to comment.
