Auctus launches third fund
German private equity house Auctus Capital Partners is looking to raise €150m for its latest vehicle AUCTUS III.
The investor has had a busy start to the year, completing five transactions in as many months and is looking to sign a further three deals within the coming weeks.
The investment pace has resulted in Auctus II being almost fully invested after only a 3-year investment period, while the fund retains sufficient reserves to fund further add-on acquisitions.
Bolstered by a strong track record for its previous two funds, Auctus is expecting a smooth and swift fundraising. The first fund, AUCTUS I (vintage 2003), has already paid back 6x total invested equity to investors and is likely to finish with 7-8x equity after the last two exits, according to Auctus founder and managing partner Ingo Krocke.
What is more AUCTUS II (vintage 2007) has not had to face a single write-off during the recession and currently holds a NAV of 1.6x cost with one realised exit and several more expected over the next 12 months
