
HTGF et al. invest in UP Web Game
Existing investors HTGF and digital entertainment company RapidShare Entertainment have backed UP Web Game.
The round, which is said to be in the several million euro region, was lead by Mountain Super Angel and United Prototype Ventures.
The capital will be used to develop the company's product Fliplife. United Prototype Ventures is a company owned by the founders of Fliplife, as well as Ilker Aydin and Serkan Sezek from Kaisergames.
Cologne-based Fliplife is a product of UP Web Game GmbH, founded in 2009. Fliplife is a life simulation game in a contemporary realistic setting with comprehensive social features. Since its launch five months ago Fliplife has got a virtual population of 100,000 inhabitants playing in 10 different languages. The game can be played on any web browser including iPhone, iPad or Android without the need to install additional software.
