Apax Foundation takes stake in Finance in Motion
Die Apax Foundation, the foundation of Apax Partners, has taken a 20% stake in asset manager Finance in Motion, based in Frankfurt/Main .
The deal gives Finance in Motion access to Apax Partners' network, market presence investor base and private equity expertise.
In addition, the cooperation will enable both to develop new products and services, especially in the field of development capital equity investments. Asset manager Finance in Motion is specialized in development capital and advises investment vehicles that aim to contribute to the social development in third world countries and developing nations while also generating returns.
Its special emphasis is on financing micro, small and mid-sized companies, residential real estate development and financing energy efficiency measures.
As part of the transaction, Michael Phillips joins the supervisory board of Finance in Motion on behalf of Apax.
Franfurt-based Finance in Motion advises investment funds with a total of EUR 800m in LP commitments and has 55 employees.
