Herkenroth joins Jones Day

The solicitor has been working in his field for more than 25 years, joining Jones Day from the tax practice of Ashurst, where he was a partner and head of the German tax group. Herkenroth notably advised Capiton with the acquisition of Kautex Maschinenbau and Equistone with the buyout of E Winkemann.

Despite Herkenroth's departure, Ashurst recently said it was currently adding to its German team due to a rapid growth of its business in the country. It recently advised 3i on the acquisition of Weener Plastic Packaging Group, worth €250m.
