Kirchner to join Kirkland & Ellis
Joerg Kirchner is set to join Kirkland’s Munich office as a partner in the corporate practice group.
With this appointment, the firm hopes to strengthen its international corporate practice. Kirchner has an existing relationship with Bain Capital, one of his Kirland's clients in the US, which he has been advising since 2007.
The attorney leaves Latham & Watkins, where he established the firm's Munich office in 2005 as a founding partner and focused on large-cap transactions. In 2014, he advised Siemens on its acquisition of US company Dresser-Rand.
Kirchner previously worked for Baker & McKenzie as well as Ashurst.
