NORD Holding backs De Mäkelbörger expansion
NORD Holding has backed its portfolio company De Mäkelbörger Backwaren GmbH to acquire 85 Kamps branches in the Berlin metropolitan region as well as the production facility at Prenzlauer Promenade.
The investor had acquired a majority stake in the bakery group in the middle of 2009.
Following the acquisition, the 85 branches will be renamed and complement the existing 66 branches operating under the "Der Havelbäcker" brand.
Founded in 1968 and based in New Brandenburg, De Mäkelbörger achieved turnover of approximately €53m in 2010.
