Gimv sells stake in Halder
Belgian private equity firm Gimv has handed back its stake in fellow German private equity house Halder to the GP.
Gimv wants to concentrate on its original investment focus of supporting growth companies following the sale, it said in a statement. The investment firm is currently strengthening its own teams across its offices and plans to approach the German market with a more specialised investment strategy from its office in Munich.
Gimv will focus on SMEs within its designated sectors: Consumer 2020, Health & Care, Smart Industries and Sustainable Cities. Investments will be made in its core markets in the Benelux countries, France and Germany.
The Halder partners in Frankfurt will continue their investment activities as an independent partnership under the Halder brand. Gimv did not sell its stakes in the Halder-Gimv Germany funds and the transaction will not impact Gimv's results.
