HTGF announces collaboration with Chinese investment bank
High-Tech Gründerfonds has signed a cooperation agreement with Donghai Securities, a Chinese investment bank.
The collaboration will allow German high-tech companies to access the Chinese market. Donghai will provide capital resources for companies to support their production setup and market launch in the country.
China and Germany last year announced their plans to cooperate in the field of contemporary automation, data exchange and manufacturing technologies, following inter-governmental consultations. The alliance between HTGF and Donghai is a result of these talks.
The two parties announced they will spend up to €300m on the Chinese endeavours of German startups. In addition to the sectors highlighted above, the focus will also be on companies in the life sciences and cleantech sector.
