KKR and Permira looking to sell ProSiebenSat.1
Private equity firms KKR and Permira are planning an exit of German broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 by the end of next year, according to reports.
It is rumoured that an IPO is also being considered. The firm is thought to have attracted interest from major media companies, including Rupert Murdoch's News International.
The Unterfoehring-based broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 had a turnover of €2.7m in 2009 and currently employs about 5,000 people. KKR and Permira acquired the business in 2007 from German Media Partners for €3,1bn.
