BVK appoints Ulrike Hinrichs as new managing director
The German Private Equity and Venture Capital Association BVK has appointed Ulrike Hinrichs as its new managing director.
She will replace Dörte Höppner in this position.
Hinrichs has a background in journalism and worked as a freelancer for about 15 years for publications such as Süddeutsche Zeitung and Die Welt.
She started her career as a TV journalist at the German public broadcasters ARD and ZDF where she presented political magazine programmes such as "Kennzeichen D" and "Frontal 21".
In 2005 she headed the press and communication division of former secretary for agriculture and consumer protection Horst Seehofer and then moved on to the Department for Foreign Affairs where she was office manager under state minister Cornelia Pieper.
