ECM acquires German bakery chain Kamps
ECM Equity Capital Management has bought German artisan bakery chain Kamps GmbH from Lieken AG for an undisclosed amount.
ECM financed the acquisition through its €250m German Equity Partners III fund.
Headquartered in Schwalmtal, North Rhine-Westphalia, Kamps is the largest single brand bakery chain in Germany managing more than 930 bakeries, 90% of which are run by franchise partners. In 2009 the company reported revenues of more than €300m, while employing around 1,000 staff.
