
Global Equity Partners acquires Lenzing division
Global Equity Partners and private investors have acquired Lenzing's plastic-filament business.
The acquisition includes the Germany- based businesses Pedex GmbH and Hahl Filaments GmbH as well as the Hahl Filaments subsidiaries in the Czech Republic and the US.
The vendor decided to sell the division in order to focus on the cellulose fibre business
The Lenzing Group was founded in 1892. The company provides monofilaments and bristles for the industrial and consumer sector. Due to a high demand for fibres, a production expansion and price boosts the group increased its turnover by 45% from €1.22bn to €1.77bn and its EBITDA by 76% from €187.9m to €330.6m in 2010.
