Deutsche Telekom rebrands T-Venture as DTSI
Deutsche Telekom has launched Deutsche Telekom Strategic Investments (DTSI), a unit that will replace T-Venture, the group’s venture capital arm.
DTSI will also include Telekom Innovation Pool, an investment fund that was formerly managed separately. The VC will have €360m under management.
The new firm will execute Deutsche Telekom's investments in technology, media and telecommunication.
Deutsche Telekom already planned the replacement of T-Venture last year, announcing the launch of new venture capital fund Deutsche Telekom Capital Partners in November 2014. These plans were later discarded.
According to unquote" data, T-Venture has had a quiet year so far. The only recorded deal for 2015 was a $16m round that the Telekom subsidiary provided together with Webedia.
