High-Tech Gründerfonds et al. back Curefab
A consortium of venture investors led by High-Tech Gründerfonds and Bayern Kapital have provided German medical equipment company Curefab with early-stage funding.
The venture investors were joined by companies First Value AG, Capital Rangers GmbH and Framos. The backers were convinced by the innovative aspect and cost-effectiveness of Curefab's technology.
The company will now focus on optimizing and expanding the clinical capabilities and application range of its product. Building the network of clinical and distribution partners will also be a high priority.
Founded in 2008, Curefab develops medical devices used in the diagnosis phase of stroke prevention. Its first product delivers additional clinical data by upgrading conventional ultrasound machines already used by medical staff. It aims to be a cost-efficient substitute to both expensive methods like MRI and invasive methods like CT.
