
K&L Gates hires Cleary Gottlieb's Klaus Banke
Klaus Banke has joined K&L Gates as a new partner, leaving fellow advisory firm Cleary Gottlieb after more than 15 years.
Banke will join K&L Gates' corporate team in Frankfurt. He had previously been working at Cleary Gottlieb since 1998.
In the past, Banke advised German and international companies on M&A, joint ventures and corporate law. He specialises in cross-border investments, with a focus on French-German clients, and transactions in the energy sector. Banke also extensively advised on arbitration proceedings.
Banke studied law at Stanford University in the US, Université de Genève, Switzerland, and Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany.
