Willkie promotes two to partner
Willkie Farr & Gallagher has promoted Maximilian Schwab and Axel Wahl to partners, based in the firm's Frankfurt office.
The two partners will focus on M&A and private equity. The duo advised Rockwood on its buyout of CeramTec from Cinven for €1.5bn in June 2013, as well as Insight Venture Partners-backed GFI Software on the sale of TeamViewer to Permira in May last year.
In the latter half of 2014, they advised Ardian on the acquisition of ADA Cosmetics from Carlyle and 3i's buyout of Christ from Advent's Douglas retail group. The pair were also involved in one of Germany's largest deals of 2014, advising French investment house Wendel on its acquisition of One Equity Partners' Constantia Flexibles for €2.3bn.
