Neuhaus Partners and HTG back mikestar.com
Venture capital firms Neuhaus Partners and High-Tech Gründerfonds have invested a six-figure sum in karaoke portal mikestar.com.
The fresh capital will be used to further develop the online karaoke platform on the German market.
Hamburg-based Mikestar.com recently merged with talentrun.com, an online karaoke network. Together, the two companies have about half a million users.
Mikestar specialises on building up an active community through social networks, gaming and mobile apps and is backed by technology from the Fraunhofer Institut for digital media technology. Talentrun operates a free-of-charge karaoke platform with a database of more than 1,900 songs and more than 400,000 videos.
