
Holtzbrink Ventures closes its fourth fund on €177m
Holtzbrink Ventures has closed its HV Holtzbrink Ventures Fund IV on €177m, raising capital from both Verlagsgruppe Georg von Holtzbrink and funds managed by HarbourVest Partners, LLC.
The company aims to continue to invest in early-stage companies within the new media sector.
Holtzbrink Ventures will now operate as a fully independent venture fund. The business has invested in over 80 new media companies since 1998 and has founded companies including Parship and Experteer. Exits include StudiVZ.net, MyHammer.com, Bol.com and brands4friends.
