Krumm joins HQ Equita as senior partner
HQ Equita has hired Torsten Krumm as senior partner and managing director.
Krumm is the latest addition to HQ's partner team, which also comprises senior partner Michael Hönig and partner Hans J. Moock. According to the firm, Krumm was hired for his experience of the German Mittelstand and his access to international investors.
Krumm joins HQ from Odewald & Compagnie. He spent more than five years there, in his latest role as managing director. From 2002 until 2009, Krumm was director at Apax Partners. Before that, he spent six years at Intel Corporation, where he was director of Intel Capital Europe from 1998 onward. Krumm started his career as corporate account manager at Novell.
HQ Equita is the private equity arm of German alternative investment firm HQ Capital. Its LPs are institutional investors, foundations and family offices. Among the family offices is Harald Quandt, after which HQ is named. The firm currently manages €450m and is invested in 10 companies.
