Gamaya raises CHF 3.2m from VI Partners et al.
Swiss agriculture technology startup Gamaya has raised CHF 3.2m from VI Partners and other backers.
Additional capital came from the Sandoz family foundation, business angel and Nestlé chairman Peter Brabeck-Letmathe, and social impact investor Seed4Equity.
The funds will be used to boost the deployment of the company's crop analytics services.
Company
Founded in 2015, Gamaya is a spinout from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). Its technology for agriculture includes a drone-mounted hyperspectral camera, which is integrated with an analytical platform that translates the data into actionable information for farmers. Gamaya hopes its technology will boost the efficiency of agricultural production.
