DBAG buys Polytech
Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG) has acquired German silicon implants producer Polytech Health & Aesthetics via an MBO.
DBAG's listed entity will hold 18% of the company, while DBAG Fund VI will acquire 76%. All remaining shares will be held by the management. The purchase price was not disclosed, but DBAG said in a statement it will invest up to €12m from its balance sheet.
The business hopes to grow by an annual rate of 6% in the coming years, driven by factors such as rising prosperity and demographic transition. DBAG plans to support the company's medical and technical advancement during its time at the helm.
Polytech is the second investment for DBAG Fund VI in 2016. In August, it acquired tooling and plant provider Frimo. The vehicle has made 10 investments in total to date and has 75% of its capital invested.
