Creathor leads €2.6m round for HappyCar
Creathor Venture has led a €2.6m round for German rental car comparison site HappyCar.
HR Ventures, Capnamic Ventures, NWZ Digital and TruVenturo also participated in the investment.
The startup, which is active in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Italy and Poland, hopes to use the new capital to enter new European markets.
Previous backer Global Founders Capital sold its shares to Creathor after the last funding round. According to news website Techcrunch, this was due to a conflict of interest, because its parent, Rocket Internet, invested in a related industry startup.
Previous funding
Capnamic provided seed funding to HappyCar in 2014. The next round in October 2015 saw the startup raise $1.5m from Capnamic, Global Founders Capital, HR Ventures and business angels.
Company
Founded in 2013 and based in Hamburg, HappyCar is an online portal that allows customers to compare prices for rental cars. The business operates in six countries.
