
Holtzbrinck and Hanse merge voucher startups
Holtzbrinck Digital and Hanse Ventures have merged coupon businesses Panna Cotta Voucher and Global Leads into Savings United.
Panna Cotta CEO Panayotis Nikolaidis and Global Leads CEO Mirko Schlossmacher will run Savings United together as managing directors. The joint venture will be based in both companies' offices, in Hamburg and Berlin respectively.
The merger is the second joint venture by the two VCs. In 2011, Hanse's CEO Jochen Maaß co-founded Pflege.de, a healthcare consulting platform. Holtzbrinck acquired a 18% stake in the business in July 2015.
Previous funding
Hamburg-based Panna Cotta received seed funding from Hanse in April 2012.
Global Leads was founded in 2011 and has been backed by Holtzbrinck since 2012.
