
Riverside buys kitchen fixtures retailer GEV
The Riverside Company has acquired German kitchen spare parts distributor GEV.
Riverside did not comment on its strategy and only stated it hopes to build on the company's success. SEB provided financing for the transaction.
The deal marks Riverside's fifth buyout this year. The GP's previous deal was also in the fixtures and fittings sector: Belgium-based manufacturer of construction panels European Panel Company.
Riverside currently invests from its fifth fund, which was launched with a target of $450m and a hard-cap of $600m.
Company
Founded in 1991 and based in Bergkirchen, GEV offers an assortment of spare kitchen parts to its customers across Europe, which mainly comprise small businesses that service and repair equipment for restaurants and bars. It claims to have a database of 1.5 million parts.
