Alpina Partners buys CrossLink Faserverbundtechnik
Alpina Partners has acquired the fibre composite components subsidiary of German industrial CrossLink.
Alpina buys CrossLink out of administration, which it filed in April this year. The investor says the business was in trouble after overloading itself with a large contract, but is otherwise healthy.
The GP acquired the business in an all-equity deal via its industrial holding company CFH, which it launched after acquiring carbon fiber composites producer UBC in 2014. Alpina plans to encourage collaboration between the two businesses. It also aims to grow CrossLink via acquisitions.
The deal is the second for Alpina this year. In September, it acquired German enterprise software business Cimdata from trade vendors Infoniqa Holding and iLab24.
