HgCapital invests in Fundinfo
European private equity firm HgCapital has made an investment in Swiss fund data platform Fundinfo.
Following the investment by HgCapital, Fundinfo hopes to expand into new fund jurisdictions and to expand its analytics offering. The GP has no plans to make changes to the management team. As part of the transaction, former Cadis Software CEO Peter Little will join Fundinfo as chairman.
HgCapital invested via its Mercury fund, which targets lower-mid-market companies. It held its final close at the beginning of 2013 on £380m. Fundinfo represents the 12th investment by the fund and its sixth transaction this year.
