EQT acquires Open Systems
EQT Partners has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Swiss network security company Open Systems through its fund EQT Mid Market Europe.
According to a regulatory filing, the GP will take full control of the target indirectly using a holding company.
The deal will be the GP's first buyout in 2017 using its €1.1bn mid-market fund. In December 2016, the vehicle was deployed for the acquisition of Spanish telecommunications provider Adamo Telecom Iberia.

Open Systems is a network security company founded in 1990 in Basel and headquartered in Zurich since 1995. The company has operations in more than 180 countries and employs a staff of 135 people. Its current revenues amount to €40m.
