Livingbridge-backed Carousel buys LSI Logistik
Livingbridge portfolio company Carousel Logistics has acquired Kirchheim-based LSI Logistik for an undisclosed sum.
The two companies will continue to operate under their own brands but share client networks. LSI has customers in Spain, Poland, Germany and Switzerland, whereas Carousel has a large UK distribution network.
All operational teams will retain the same structure but LSI managing director Reinhard Klausner will join the Carousel executive board.
Carousel recorded before-tax profit of £1.9m from revenues of £21m in 2016, employing 92 people.
Livingbridge invested in Carousel via its Growth I fund in October 2013. It acquired an undisclosed stake in the company in a replacement capital deal.

LSI is based in Kirchheim, Germany, and was founded in 2000 by Reinhard Klausner. It has three other offices in Frankfurt, Barcelona and Wroclaw. It provides express delivery of spare parts, as well as logistical consulting, for scientific institutions.
The company recorded 2016 revenues of between €5-10m and employs 13 people, according to publicly available documents.
