
BayBG backs German RepRap
Bayerische Beteiligungsgesellschaft (BayBG) has invested a seven-figure sum in 3D printing technology company German RepRap.
BayBG will acquire a minority stake in the company, which remains majority owned by its founders.
German RepRap offers an open-source platform to its customers that allows them to specify settings such as material, temperature and speed for its 3D printers.
The new funding will be used to accelerate the company's growth by expanding its marketing efforts.

Founded in 2010 and based in Feldkirchen, German RepRap develops 3D printers as well as the software and spare parts to tailor them for various industrial uses. The printers are used by designers, architects, artists, universities and large industrial companies.
