Redalpine in €8m series-A for Zenjob
Redalpine has taken part in a €5m extension for Zenjob's series-A funding round, bringing the total size of the round to €8m.
Acton Capital Partners, 500 Startups and Atlantic Labs also took part in the round.
Zenjob originally announced the closing of its series-A funding round in March on €3m, but has now raised new capital to expand into more German cities, starting with Munich, Cologne and Hamburg.
Previous funding
Atlantic Labs provided the company with seed capital in 2016. Redalpine, Acton, 500 Startups and Atlantic Labs then reinvested in Zenjob's series-A, which initially raised €3m in March 2017.
Company
Zenjob was founded in Berlin in 2016. The company has developed a staffing platform to provide flexible labour to employers. Employees are given on-the-job feedback through the app and all administrative procedures are taken care of by Zenjob.
The company claims 1,500 students have signed up for employment through the app to work for 300 companies, including Sheraton Hotels and fashion chain Gerry Weber. It pays a minimum of €10 per hour and an average of €11.30.
