HTGF backs eBlocker
High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) has made a seven-figure investment in Hamburg-based data protection device developer eBlocker.
Innovationsstarter Fonds Hamburg II also backed the company, alongside private investors.
The fresh capital will be used to expand the product portfolio by launching eBlocker Enterprise to protect public authorities, research institutions and businesses.
Company
eBlocker was founded in Hamburg in 2015. It develops a box that plugs into a router and prevents internet service providers from collecting data. It also blocks advertising that collects user data and can be configured to filter content for children. The company employs 10 people and became profitable in 2016, according to publicly available documents.
