
VM Capital buys Ibykus
VM Capital (formerly Ventizz Capital Partners) has acquired a majority stake in Erfurt-based IT services company Ibykus.
VM closed its fourth fund on €450m in January 2008. It generally makes equity commitments between €10-70m in companies with revenues between €10-100m.
Ibykus employs 200 people and generated revenues of €21.3m in 2017.
Long-standing board member Stephan Behr worked with Berenberg to initiate the transaction, according to a statement. He will take a minority stake in the company along with other co-investors.

Ibykus was founded in 1990 by Lutz Richter and Stephan Behr. The company is based in Erfurt, in the German state of Thuringia, and employs 200 people at its six locations in Erfurt, Chemnitz, Jena, Leipzig, Dresden and Halle.
