VC firms back $11m series-A for Bestmile
A consortium of VC firms has backed an $11m series-A funding round for Swiss fleet management software developer Bestmile.
The round was led by Road Ventures, with participation from Partech Partners, Airbus Ventures, Serena Capital, MobilityFund and Groupe ADP.
Bestmile will use the fresh capital to expand globally and build relationships with OEMs and other technology partners.
Previous funding
Partech and Serena led a €2m seed round for Bestmile in April 2017 in order to fund its expansion into the US.
Company
BestMile was founded in 2014 and is headquartered in Lausanne and San Francisco. The company develops a fleet management software platform for autonomous vehicles. It has partnered with Postbus, Switzerland's largest public transportation provider, as well as Local Motors, Trapeze and Gomentum for testing of its platform in vehicles.
