
Towerbrook-backed Gravity Media buys Genesis Broadcast
Towerbrook Capital's London-based portfolio company Gravity Media Group (GMG) has acquired German broadcast equipment rental firm Genesis Broadcast Services.
After the acquisition, Genesis will be rebranded to Gearhouse Broadcast to bring it in line with GMG's UK, Australia, US, France and Qatar operations.
Towerbrook acquired GMG in September 2016, drawing capital from its $3.5bn buyout fund Towerbrook Investors LP IV. The company reported EBITDA of £19m from £62.2m in revenues for 2015.

The company provides a range of services to broadcasters including event communications, equipment rental, outside broadcast, project solutions and systems integration. The company's clients include ARD, ZDF, RTL, Euromedia and MMC Studios.
