Main Capital-backed RVC buys Allgeier
Main Capital has supported the bolt-on of Freiburg-based Allgeier Medical IT for its Dutch portfolio company RVC.
The combined group will employ 70 people and targets revenues of €10m for 2018. It will operate under the name RVC Medical IT and has been consolidated under a joint holding company.
Both companies will significantly strengthen their product portfolio through the transaction as well as expanding their geographical reach.
RVC was founded in 1991 and employed 40 people prior to the acquisition of Allgeier.
Previous funding
Main Capital bought a majority stake in RVC in a buyout valued between €5-10m in June 2014. It drew equity for the deal from the €40m Main Capital III.
Company
Allgeier was founded in 1995 and has offices in Ulm and Freiburg. It provides enterprise software focusing on the digitalisation of image management and workflow in hospital departments. Its client base includes 120 hospitals and clinics, and 300 practices across the DACH region.
