Accel leads $8m series-A for Dashdash
Accel Partners has led an $8m series-A funding round for Berlin-based web application software Dashdash.
Cherry Ventures, Atlantic Labs and angel investors – including Home24 founder Felix Jahn and David Schneider, co-founder of Zalando – also took part in the financing.
The fresh capital will be used to accelerate product development, starting with recruitment for the engineering team in Porto with plans to hire 20 people in the coming months.
Accel's Andrei Brasoveanu and Filip Dames of Cherry Ventures will be joining the company's board.
Previous funding
Accel and Cherry provided Dashdash with a $1m seed funding round in April 2017.
Company
Dashdash was founded by Humberto Ayres Pereira and Torben Schulz in 2016 and has offices in Berlin and Porto. The company develops software that allows people with no knowledge of coding to create web and data applications. It currently employs nine people.
